Surfers Against Sewage Filmmaking & Photography Workshops

Video Production

Surfers Against Sewage

We produced a documentary, trailer & short-form videos for SAS's Summit to Sea campaign, showcasing inspiring stories of SAS volunteers, and building momentum for their mission to protect oceans & waterways.

Yesterday I completed the first of my monthly mountains - a challenge I've set myself to hike a mountain every month.

We had the pleasure of working with SAS to showcase the remarkable contributions of their volunteers, shedding light on the impactful climate action initiatives at a local level in various regions across the UK, and highlighting the important role of grassroots efforts in addressing environmental challenges.

Their Problem

SAS was launching its Summit to Sea campaign, which aimed to lobby the UK government to take more decisive action in the fight against plastic and sewage pollution.

To coincide with this launch, SAS wanted to create a film that showcased the incredible work of their dedicated volunteers.

The goal was to capture the passion that these volunteers have for the environment, as well as the hard work they do to protect it and raise awareness about the pressing issues facing UK waterways.

SAS recognized that highlighting the inspiring stories of their volunteers would help to mobilise public support for their campaign and amplify their message.

"We were needing to engage a wider audience, raising awareness about beach cleans and engage more volunteers with out mission."

Our Solution

To address SAS's need to showcase the work of their volunteers and promote their Summit to Sea campaign, we produced a captivating documentary that delves into the inspiring stories of the individuals driving the SAS mission forward.

This documentary provided a comprehensive view of the remarkable work being done by the charity and its volunteers, highlighting the positive impact of their efforts on local communities and the environment.

In addition to the documentary, we also produced a trailer and a series of short-form videos that were tailored for social media.

These videos were designed to be highly shareable and engaging, making them ideal for promoting SAS's campaign across a range of platforms.

By leveraging these video assets, we were able to effectively amplify the message of SAS's campaign and generate greater public support for their cause.

"LATITUDE53 captured the message of our beach cleans beautifully and created a documentary which inspires and engages others to join our beach clean mission."

The Results

Thanks to our collaboration, Surfers Against Sewage has been able to expand its reach and engage a wider audience.

The documentary and short form videos we produced have been instrumental in raising awareness about the critical issue of plastic pollution, as well as SAS's beach clean initiative and lobbying efforts to combat this problem.

Our content has helped SAS to build momentum for their Summit to Sea campaign, generating greater public support and awareness for their cause.
